Position Overview
Moxie Solar is looking to hire an Accountant who will partner with the current accounting team to increase efficiency and reporting in the administrative and financial department; thereby allowing Moxie Solar to further reduce the human carbon footprint through premier solar installations.

Employment Type: Full-Time. Candidate must be willing to commit to extra hours when necessary.
Compensation: Base $43,000 to $48,000, plus significant performance incentive plan. Regular reviews and raises are awarded based on tenure and performance with increases far above industry standard.

Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing, strategic plans for the entire multi-state organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete end of period close processes
Compilation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
Biweekly, monthly, and quarterly, payroll tax reporting and filing
Sales and use tax reporting and filing
Preparation and analyzation of profit and loss by job reports for completed solar installations
Weekly Key Performance Indicator reporting; development and implementation of process
Working cooperatively with the company's certified public accounting and insurance firms
Bank and credit card reporting and reconciliations
Month end journal entries
Trend and metric analysis
Development of budget planning tools
Monthly forecast reporting
Prepare financial reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as requested
Review general ledger coding of AP transactions, expense reports, purchasing card recs, etc. related to sites
Other special projects as requested
Qualifications:
Formal education degree in Accounting strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Advanced QuickBooks experience REQUIRED
Minimum intermediate Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills REQUIRED
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage, multiple projects
Ability to organize, prioritize, and work, independently
Be willing to pursue collection of accounts receivables
Must have professional/business telephone and email skills
Ability to manage the creation of thoughtful analytical reports from source and transaction data
Ability to work smart in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, entrepreneurial organization
Satisfactory completion of criminal background and credit check
