Facility Management firm is seeking to hire an HVAC Mechanic for our operations at a government facility in Lafayette, IN. This individual must be able to work as a backup when the current HVAC Mechanic is off- site. The workdays for coverage would require availability on Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30pm.
All government employee holidays will be observed. Below are the duties / responsibilities requested for the position.
Performs general maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
. Inspect HVAC system and their components to evaluate condition
. Identify necessary repairs and perform routine preventive maintenance
. Use and operate a Building Automation System ( BAS )
. Maintain and repair air handling units ( AHU ), condensers, chillers and cooling tower, including filter
replacement, coil cleaning and drive belt repair.
. Adjust system control to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Minimum Education: Possesses a high school diploma.
Minimum Experience: Experience in mechanical maintenance of building with similar types of equipment and
systems.
Certification and License: Possess one or more of the following certifications: N.A.T.E. HVAC Service
Technician Certification, HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification or UA Star HVACR Certification.
Clearance: The applicant must be able to get a clearance to work at a Federal Facility.
