Performas an active team member in supporting and performing all the tasks within acell group.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform as a team member of a cellular operatinggroup, which requires the ability to learn, perform preventative maintenance.Set-up and operate machines and to be able to rotate to all workstations withineach cell.Employee must be able to handle materials and tools,operate machines, assemble and inspect all product of varying shape, sizes andweights.Employee must perform the above within acceptablequality, quantity, performance and safety standards.Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance oneach machine to assure machines are in safe working condition and completedaily safety check-off lists.Maintain station control of operations, which includesmachine parts to specification, inspect parts to assure the quality standardsare met, identify production and quality problems and assist Team Leader withproblem correction.Employee must perform his/her job within acceptablesafety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards asoutlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.Overtime as required/requested.ADDITIONAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:Follow machine repair procedures if breakdownoccurs. Complete basic repairs andadjustments of minor problems. Reportall machine problems to Team Leader and/or Maintenance.Perform SPC, visual and gauge inspection, and completecharts and required forms.Clean the machine and surrounding work area.Operate machines as assigned to assist co-workers atother workstations as needed.Perform or assist in part changeovers.Assist in 5S advancementAssist in implementation of Lean principles.This list may not be all-inclusive andmay include other duties as assigned by the supervisor.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Employee must have high school diploma or GED.Ability to read and understand general paperwork, workorders, machine manuals, directions, charts and safety regulations.Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and theability to perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairsBasic math skillsAbility to follow directions and flexibility torespond to problems and changes in job assignments.Ability to work well with othersAbility to learn and perform all jobs in assigned Cellgroup and rotates to each workstation as needed.WORK ENVIRONMENT:High noise levelsVarying temperatures (hot to cold)Fumes at welding stationsConfined work spaceBuffing/grinding dust in some areasWet slippery floors in some areasPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Extensive standing, walking, upper body twisting, armand hand motion, some foot motionManual dexterityManual movement of pipe throughout machining process(15 lbs.)Ability to lift up to 50lbs requiredGood visual acuityFrequent skin exposure to chemical-based fluids suchas coolant, drawing compound, lubricating oils, etc.REQUIREMENTS:Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
