DescriptionAccountemps is in search of a Collections Specialist who will have a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. The Collections Specialist should have experience in business-to-business collecting, researching outstanding balances, and providing a high level of customer service. This Collections Specialist position is in the Indianapolis, Indiana region and is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity.How you will make an impact as Collections Specialist:
Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Record all customer payments to the correct reports
Review, research, and resolve outstanding accounts
Handle inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Correctly process bankruptcy filings when received
Comply with all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity
Guarantee the processing of payments

Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
3+ years of prior high volume collections experience
Command of commercial collections
Solid understanding of Dispute Resolution
Outstanding Balance experience preferred
Strong familiarity with Commercial and Business to Business Collections
Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
