Position: Electronic Hardware Integration Engineer (Wire Harness Engineer)Location: Seymour, IN 47274Status: 6+ month contractWork with a global leading American Fortune 500 company that manufactures, sells and services diesel and alternative fuel engines, diesel and alternative-fueled electrical generators, and related components and technology. This project comprises of Electronic Hardware Integration involving engine harness improvements to address design and assembly issues seen on production. The work will require design, development, analysis, and release of a wiring harness component. We are looking for a strong background in VALIDATION and TESTING, preferably from the automotive, highway, agricultural, locomotive, or marine industries. Complete electronic harness improvements using identified standards associated with designValidate as required to address issues identifiedConsider cost, application requirements, performance, manufacturability, assembly, and service.Create design specifications, prints, marked prints, wiring diagrams and other engineering related documentation.Proficient in Creo SchematicsCoordinate failure mode and effects analysisVerify design through fit checks, analysis, and functional testingDrive decision, assess risks, and mitigateWork cross functionally to resolve product and component issuesWork directly with suppliers, leading supplier meeting, reviewing data, compiling reportsDefine and evaluate customer needs to align expectationsCoordinate communication efforts and hold cross functional reviewsDevelop and execute design verification plan and report based on provided standardsDocument work for release to archivePosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering3 years + of wire harness design, validation, and testingCreo Cabling experience preferredPlease apply to position or contact Matt Haltom at (317) 599-4898 for any questions and more details regarding this position.
