This position is responsible for working either individually, or, as part of a small team, to produce Sheet Metal parts. The individual will also be responsible for the producing a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. In addition, this position requires the operator to work primarily with Press Brake, Shear, Punch Press equipment. The operator must also perform set-ups, material handling, performing preventative maintenance on your assigned equipment and inventory. Also, the operator must maintain the cleanliness of his/her work area and meet all requirements of the Iso-9000 Quality System for this position. Finally, all employees are required to participate in Safety and Environmental requirements. The incumbent works under general supervision of the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
Produce Sheet Metal parts from galvanized, stainless and aluminum steels
Work primarily with Press Brake, Shear, Punch Press (CNC Press and Turret Punch Press) equipment
Perform own set ups and change dies
Perform other tasks as assigned
