Serve as technical expert or lead global projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.

Must be highly proficient at troubleshooting and resolving issues across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to Windows imaging, automation, hardware, remote access, software installation, networking, virtualization and advanced systems management in a global highly regulated environment.

Coordinate with AbbVie Service Desk, global Site Support and other regional partners to understand workstation support needs. Serve as an escalation point to resolve calls that have been escalated to the Team.

Create and manage problem records related to Desktop Engineering issues. Responsible for all work in progress assigned to ensure completion of tasks. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across multiple disciplines. Record all support activities for proper measurement of support provided. Produce and maintain required technical documentation associated with solutions.

Foster relationships with internal IT team, external IT teams, business functions and external vendors and partners to accomplish organizational goals. Actively leads and participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions.

Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems. Incorporates knowledge of diverse global business units and technology to make recommendations. Ability to translate and communicate to client’s technical terms into non-technical language.

Must be adaptable; learn, understand, master and teach new methods, technologies and act as a resource for others while moving fluidly between different projects and responsibilities. Contribute to advancement of technology in area of expertise.

Manages relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, and vendors in accordance with AbbVie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision and goals of the organization.

Ability to quickly ascertain the criticality of incoming requests and take initiative to resolve problems to assure tasks are completed in the most effective manner.

Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance and data security.

Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, or technology solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; Routinely demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing technology solutions.

Analyzes and resolves technical problems using analytical problem solving methods/techniques and associated tools/devices.

Contribute to advancement of own function by studying state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.

Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.

Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor. Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and scheduled completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.

QualificationsRequirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience or Master’s Degree and 8 years of experience, or a PhD.

Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own discipline

Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.

Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Must have a broad knowledge of Windows, Mac and Linux based Systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of Windows 10, MacOS, Linux, Active Directory, Wise Package Studio, Symantec Management Platform, VB .net, C#, Visual Basic Script, PowerShell, VMWare, Microsoft Office 365, MS AutoPilot, MS SQL, Beyond Trust and NexThink.

Data aggregation, analysis, interpretation and presentation from different systems.

Expert knowledge of Windows registry, DLLs, and other internal functional mechanics.
