The Director of Data Governance & Operations works with the Director of Omni-Experience & Care Model Services for US Patient Services, and will lead the development of a new team, focused on the integration of data, technology, tools, people and processes for U.S. Patient Support programs. The Director of Data Governance & Operations will have oversight of data governance, data quality, data integration and architecture. This role will also partner with teams across U.S. Patient Services, helping design and implement a Data Governance program and processes, supporting the evolution of US Patient Services into a data driven organization. Perform regular monitoring and audits of various DG policies, processes, procedures.

Report on findings of audits and DG metrics to reporting director and other Senior Leadership.

Defining and implementing policies and procedures for the day-to-day operational and administrative management of systems and data — including the intake, storage, processing, and transmission of data to internal and external systems.

Build and maintain data governance (DG) policies, playbook(s), processes, procedures for guiding various data management processes, including data security and privacy, data quality control and data dissemination activities.

Establishing data-quality metrics and requirements, including defining the values, ranges, and parameters that are acceptable for each data element.

Establishing the procedures for detection and correction of data-quality issues and the collaborate to establish policies, procedures, and internal controls affecting the quality of data.

Establishing the guidelines and protocols that govern the proliferation of data to ensure that privacy controls are enforced in all processes.

Compiling retention, archival, and disposal requirements and ensure compliance with internal policy and regulations.

Defining the policies and procedures for access to data, including the criteria for authorization based on role and/or the individual.

Working closely with data custodians to establish controls, stewarding evaluations on any suspected or actual breaches or vulnerabilities in confidentiality, integrity, or availability.

QualificationsQualifications:

Position requires BS degree in a technical area.

Ten (10) years of experience leading a successful enterprise data governance program or similar years of experience in policy or data driven programs/projects that include working with data driven initiatives, privacy issues, or complex projects that touch multiple systems

Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, project management leadership skills and solid understanding of patient services business areas

Knowledge of industry standard methodologies, master data management (MDM), data governance, established data management principles and techniques, and emerging data and reporting technologies

Ability to work effectively across a matrixed environment and influence without formal authority

Shown ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, mentoring, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.
