If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.As AreaDirector of Revenue Management, you will oversee revenue management and managers within the scope of duties for two hotels. You will be responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profits associated with guest rooms in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality. The position is responsible for pricing, positioning and inventory of all guest rooms. Oversees all processes associated with demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting and opportunity analysis. Develops and recommends sales strategy for pricing of the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments. Identifies new revenue opportunities and can effectively communicate the sales strategy and pricing. Actively participating with the General Manager, Sales Managers, Company Leaders, and Owners.Education and Experience At least 4 years of progressive experience in hotel leadership, or related field required. 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience. Proficient knowledge of Excel, Office, E-mail, and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Marriott and/or Aimbridge Hospitality Programs preferred. Understanding of hotel operations and the philosophy of yield management. Knowledge of Light Speed and Marsha is a plus. Experience with travel click data reports is a plus. Ability to convey, analyze, and effectively communicate information required.Job Activities Analyzing and reporting Revenue Management Data, identifying current and potential issues and proposing solutions. Identifying trends, future need periods, and foreseeing issues to achieving goals. Analyzing transient booking patterns and providing recommendations. Generates and analyzing accurate and timely results for reporting and presenting. Analyzing and preparing reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Analyzes weekly and monthly STAR information to assist in development of RevPAR Index forecasts. Checks hotel positioning on a regular basis for positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning. Analyzes past strategies, identifies need areas, competitor strengths, and develops hotel strategy to best capture available Market Share. Generates yearly room revenue budget. Provides key input to property leaders and General Manager in developing a market sales strategy. Ensures sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate. Creates and communicates long term sales strategy to all segments, including group, transient, and catering. Communicates to operations leaders current strategies and provides information for daily operation.
