DescriptionProject Managers with Banking Experience needed! Our Chicago based clients have a demand for individuals in the below areas. Pay will range depending on experience and scope of the role. If your background aligns with the financial risk area and you are available for senior management consulting roles please send in your resume to [email protected] JOB DUTIES:Prepare project charters that clearly define project mission, business objectives, critical success factors, risks and assumptions, scope, approach, resource requirements, deliverables, budget, key milestones and schedule.Responsible for project leadership, project planning, project communications, change management, risk mitigation, scope management, issue management, budget management, internal/external resource management and quality assurance.Ensure that projects are completed on-time, within budget and meet business objectives.Manage project teams ensuring teamwork, defining project roles/responsibilities, sourcing project resources through internal negotiations, assigning project tasks, assessing project team performance, obtaining/managing external vendor resources and addressing ongoing resource allocation issues.Lead project review committee consisting of management and project team, ensuring clear and effective communication of project status and timely issue escalations.Maintain close working relationships with cross functional teams and stakeholders, as well as with external partners and vendors as required to meet business objectives.Mentor and coach others within the business on project management techniques and best practices.Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.Maintain continuous focus on risk assessment and mitigation for risks that may result from impacts such as personnel changes, requirements changes, misalignment of assumptions or changes to project scope.SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Strong organizational and communication skills required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management. Strong proficiency in project management methodologies such as PMP.
