Farmheads is growing and expanding our team. We now operate four restaurants in metro Chicago. As a result, we are seeking a team member to our finance and accounting team to support our continued growth.
Farmheads operates the two Farmhouse Taverns, (Chicago and Evanston) and Farm Bar (Lakeview and Edgewater). Farmhouses are Midwestern Craft Taverns, focused on Illinois, Indiana, Indiana and Michigan. Our restaurants are seasonal restaurants focused on the cuisines of the Midwest. To the greatest extent possible, we use only local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients. We carry an extensive range of local craft beers, sell only Midwestern craft spirits and focus on local beers.
Farm Bars are simpler, smaller, neighbor versions of Farmhouse.
Farmhouse also owns a 140 acre organic farm in Southwestern Wisconsin that we farm for the restaurants. At the farm we raise asparagus, black, gold and red raspberries, heirloom and cider apples, pears, tart cherries, apricots and peaches. We also operate 52 beehives on Brown Dog Farm and a neighboring cider apple orchard.
Our restaurant accountant will interact directly with our owners and general managers. Responsibilities include posting invoices, payroll, journal entries, generating financial statements and maintaining general ledger for our restaurants. You will work directly with our CFO!
The ideal candidate has restaurant industry accounting experience 2-4 years; has experience with industry accounting packages (ideally Restaurant 365 or Compeat or at least Quickbooks). It would be wonderful if you are familiar with Toast. Fluency with Excel and Word is required. HR experience also helpful!
