Western Range Association has a job opening for a Compliance and Training Manager. This is a full time position that reports directly to the Executive Director. Western Range Association is an association of Sheep Ranchers from 12 western states that assists applications for temporary agricultural workers through the H-2A program. Western Range Association is one of the oldest H-2A associations originating in 1953 and is located in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Position Overview:

The person in this position is required to learn and understand the H-2A regulation. This position will carry out investigations to identify training opportunities, compliance issues, and help educate best practices for WRA members to ensure compliance in the H-2A program. Investigations will include confidential interviews over the phone and in person, completion and retention of audit reports on completed investigations, and report breach of regulations to Executive Director. This person will need to build a positive relationship with Workers & Ranchers. May need to travel overnight. This position will also organize training for association employees and members to create awareness and foster understanding of the H-2A regulation, labor regulations and Association policies. Identify and assess future and current training needs for members and workers. Deploying a wide variety of training methods. Make recommendations of company policy. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Proficient in Spanish and English, preferably Peruvian Spanish.

The ability to read, research and understand regulation.

Communications skills to appropriately interview workers.

Confidentiality.

Detail Oriented.

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines and accomplish goals.

Experience and knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and

records, and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Software.

Written & verbal communication skills including composing correspondence.

The ability to work and communicate with a team.

Ability to assess a situation and determine the best outcome.

Customer service skills with an emphasis on telephone interactions.
