Resident Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic (Lewiston Area)

Skills and Requirements
Preferred candidates will have two to five years of hands-on experience working on heavy equipment including, but not limited to, tracked forestry loaders, feller bunchers, processors and delimbers, excavators, wheeled loaders, cranes and articulated off-road haul trucks.
Individual must be skilled in repair and diagnosis of DC electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as welding and fabrication.
Candidate must be proficient in interpretation of electrical and hydraulic schematics, and be familiar with the theory and application of electronic control modules and circuits.
Prepare service reports, work orders, parts lists, and time cards, in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
Applicant must have a complete set of hand tools, adequate for working on heavy equipment, up to and including ¾ inch drive.
High school diploma or equivalent is required, with applicable technical, vocational, or trade school coursework preferred.
This position is a full time job that offers benefits and a competitive wage.
Must have CDL, clean driving record and maintain an electronic driver’s log.
Able to work alone, without supervision.
Work overtime as needed.
Participate in random drug screenings.
