JOB SUMMARYThe Behavioral Service Technician functions as a key member of an interdisciplinary team, providing highly structured psychiatric services to emotionally impaired patients. Key responsibilities include: providing immediate crisis management services in response to behavioral emergencies using accepted non-verbal, verbal and physical techniques, encouraging patient self-care or providing direct care with patient ADL's and maintaining and documenting special precautions. JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Valid State of Maine CNA license
BLS certification
MANDT required for brief but extreme periods of physical intervention to manage out
Experience:
Will consider new CNA with applicable experience
Other Skills Required:
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
Ability to manage stress appropriately
Flexibility required to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
