We are looking for a friendly, smart, and hard-working salesperson to sell sales leads to internet marketing companies. We are a lead generation firm that finds businesses that are interested in web design, search engine optimization, or other web marketing methods, and we provide that information to our clients on a pay-per-lead basis. Our leads help those businesses make sales and eliminate a lot of wasted time in prospecting.
We have been around for 7 years, and have a loyal customer base, but despite our reputation and the advertising we do, most internet marketing firms don't know that we exist and don't know that we can help them. We need to reach out to them via phone and email to let them know what we do and how it can help their business grow.
This is a work-from-home company. All of us work from home. This position is for an independent contractor, not an employee. Our official business hours are Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm PST. There is some flexibility schedule wise during the day, because there are sometimes when you'll need to take calls, emails, or chats after hours or on weekends.
This position is mostly sales, with some marketing responsibilities (about 80% sales, 20% marketing). Job duties include:
-Answering inbound sales calls
-Making outbound sales calls
-Answering emails
-Sending outreach emails to new prospects
-Sending newsletter and promotional emails
-Keeping our contact database (CRM) updated
-Monitoring and answering online chats
-Posting on our social media sites
-Answering questions on forums, blogs, and Q&A sites
-Reporting on all of the key metrics (some daily, some weekly, some monthly)
Here's what the ideal candidate looks like:
-Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
-Not hesitant to be on the phone
-Positive and optimistic attitude
-Ability to educate and sell (we sell through educating)
-Tech savvy - good with programs, social media, learning new platforms, etc
-On-top of things - gets the things done that are supposed to be done
There are some minimum standards in place as far as what we expect performance wise. When sales are doing well, we don't worry about anything, but when they're not, we expect:
-A minimum of either 40 calls or 120 minutes on the phone per day (sounds easy, but it's not).
-A minimum of 25 hours a week (40 is preferred, but we are happy to have lower hours for the right person)
-Always quick to respond to emails, phone calls, and chats…
Compensation is $15 per hour (approx $2,600 per month) plus bonuses. The bonuses are substantial and should provide an extra $1250 per month to a decent salesperson and $4500 a month for an exceptional salesperson. The range for yearly compensation should be from approximately $45,000/yr on the low end to $85,000/yr on the high end (although this can definitely go much higher - we're just listing what reasonable expectations for the short-term would be).
