We are hiring for a Donut Baker/Fryer who is primarily responsible for donut production, assisting with ingredient preparation and helping to top/finish the donuts as needed. The position is responsible to produce high quality donuts for our retail store and wholesale customers while working efficiently to meet production needs. Additionally, there will be opportunities to learn/train on baking to expand responsibilities and opportunities.

We are seeking to hire for full or part-time and the shift hours typically begin at 2am-4am and end at 10am-12pm. Kitchen/culinary experience is a definite plus and preferred but not necessarily required.

Frying Key Duties:

-Mix, and fry cake donuts, raised donuts, fritters, cinnamon rolls and other donuts

-Assist in icing, glazing, filling, and finishing donuts

-Follow detailed instructions

-Work early morning hours

-Maintain production equipment

-Maintain sanitation of work station and bakery

-Communicate with team throughout shift and make a positive contribution to the working environment

-Produce glazes, icings, fillings, and toppings for the donuts

-Perform measures to ensure correct consistency, color, and fluidness

-Work alongside supervisor and acting manager to develop new products, test new recipes, improve existing recipes and product quality

-Work with kitchen staff to follow up with ways to increase efficiency, safety and productivity in the bakery

Baking Key Duties:

-Manage all baked, fried, and cooked items

-Work early morning hours

-Organize the production staff and operation schedule to manage customer satisfaction and ensure that products are completed in a timely manner.

-Train kitchen staff and follow up with ways to increase efficiency, safety and productivity in the bakery

-Manage the daily production schedule and pars in coordination with retail managers.

-Manage the mixing, shaping and supervise frying of raised donuts, fritters, cinnamon rolls and other fancy donuts

-Open the kitchen

-Maintain production equipment

-Develop new products and recipes, testing to ensure consistency

-Maintain sanitation of work station and bakery

Skills Required:

-Excellent communication - observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

Operate and control machines and processes - using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes

-Make decisions and solve problems - analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

-Perform general physical activities with speed and efficiency that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and objects.

-Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or material to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

-Organize, plan, and prioritize work - develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

A strong work ethic, commitment to teamwork and desire to learn and contribute positively to our team and community-focused culture is essential. Must be willing to be trained on detailed processes and receive constructive feedback.
