Kamanu Composites is looking to hire for positions in outrigger canoe production. We are seeking people with extreme attention to detail and a drive to build great products.
We currently need the most help in finishing, but eventually we want people to learn every step of the process. Possible other tasks include material prep, spraying, repairs, wet layup and vacuum bagging of epoxy/carbon fiber parts, sanding, grinding, cleaning, organizing, and anything else that can contribute towards building great canoes.
We need someone who can be an artist and a craftsman. Must be able to get stuff done and consistently maintain a high level of quality. Must be able to work independently and efficiently with a team. Must be able to take initiative and solve problems.
We are very willing to teach and train people with no direct experience, but we like to see some examples of work or projects that demonstrate your skills, ability to learn, and passion.
Experience and interest in paddling a plus.
