The Madden Corporation manufactures and distributes more than 6,000 products to nearly 3,000 customers throughout Hawai'i, the continental U.S., Europe and Asia.
We are seeking hardworking, dependable, positive attitude individuals to manage the merchandising team. This person will help to manage and service our three territories for Oahu. We will provide the necessary training to ensure your success and growth and a monthly auto allowance is provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and mentor team on merchandising process, procedure, and strategy
Travels throughout existing accounts to evaluate merchandising needs and audit accounts.
Assist Director in hiring selection, performance management, and disciplinary actions for assigned staff
Prepare and conduct team meetings, trainings and other special events to communicate clear goals to team.
Achieves in-store execution of programs and ensures that all service levels established are met.
Assists with annual inventory, warehouse sale and other company events as needed
Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Two years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license; must provide drivers abstract at time of hire and annually thereafter; must maintain a motor vehicle in good working condition including all legally required insurance and inspections
Skills & Knowledge
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet.
Must possess excellent organizational skills with the attention to detail.
Generates creative solutions; uses feedback to modify displays; communicates display changes and resets to merchandising team.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day.
Ability to climb ladders, and to reach and stoop to count merchandise.
Frequently required standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, bending, hearing and speaking.
Work Environment
Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
