Part-time Recreation Attendant positions for all shifts including afternoons, evenings and weekends, especially Sunday mornings, at the Palama Settlement gymnasium and/or game room.
Duties include: Responsible for the safety of patrons and for the safe use of the recreational facilities and equipment. Provides professional and friendly interaction with the youth, adults and/or sports or other groups who utilize the facilities. Responsibilities also include opening and closing facilities; equipment setup, greeting patrons and maintaining safety and cleanliness of facilities; sweeping, mopping, trash removal and refilling toilet paper/hand towels in restrooms. Maintains accurate records and reports.
Skills/Knowledge: Experience working with youth and adults in a recreational setting; general knowledge of sports and recreational activities; ability to set up/break down sports/athletic equipment for indoor/outdoor use; able to lift 50 pounds. Must enjoy working with the public and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be problem solver and ability to make sound, responsible and mature judgments.
Education/Training: High school diploma or GED required. Background clearance conducted for all conditional offers of employment.
