Description:
Our client in the Kapalua area is seeking a full-time Accounting Controller. This position will be primarily responsible forÂoverseeing the accounting operations of the company, including its financial accounting system, financial reports, and internal controls. This is a supervisory position that will be responsible for managing the finance department and other office staff.

Additional Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily accounting operations and ensure that proper internal control policies and procedures are in place and functioning as designed
Ensure that the companys financial results are accurate and properly stated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget
Provide the CFO and management with monthly budget and actual financial results
Review all reconciliations and other supporting accounting records to ensure they are accurate and completed in a timely manner
Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with internal and external auditors
Handle federal, state and county tax reporting and filings.
Supervise and manage the finance department staff and other office personnel
Required Education and Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in business, finance, realÂestate, accounting or related field. CPA or MBA is a plus
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting or other finance-related position
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
High proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
