At MAG, we look for individuals who thrive in a high-performance environment where challenges are the norm and success is expected.Position SummaryThe Ground Support Equipment (GSE) mechanic performs maintenance, repair and sustainment services on aircraft ground support equipment and associated sub-systems. Ensures GSE is in good mechanical condition and safe for use by maintenance personnel. He / She will perform maintenance, inspections, and servicing requirements in accordance with approved technical data and all applicable program and service guidance. Maintains and updates GSE records and status within the program's maintenance system. Keeps the maintenance staff updated on GSE status. Performs other duties as assigned by the Site Maintenance Lead.Employment: This position is covered by the Services Contract Act (SCA) and all contract labor standards stated under this act.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMeet goals to fulfill contract specifications.Responsible for inspections as well as scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on all GSE.Ensures records are maintained and records all discrepancies noted before, during and after flight.Provides technical guidance and assistance to maintenance shops regarding observed discrepancies and malfunctions.Performs GSE servicing, inspection, and maintenance as required.Interface with Program Site and MAG Lead Mechanic.Perform other qualified duties as assigned.Performs work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all-weather, day and night operations.Understands maintenance forms/historical records and ensures they are accurate, up to date, and complete.Perform daily air hangar cleaning as needed.Maintain professional attire, appearance, and work environment in accordance with MAG Aerospace standards.Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity of moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current.Able to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts/ wiring.Must be able to walk and stand on level and/ or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.Must be able to climb stairs, ramps ladders, and work stands.RequirementsExperience and EducationAbility to perform individual assignments as directed; establish and maintain effective work relationshipsCommitment to company values and ethics.Working knowledge and experience in reading, comprehending, and interpreting technical documents, including manuals, and technical data.Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation skills.During training and throughout the employment period, the individual must demonstrate and maintain proficiency in understanding For full info follow application link.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.
