Acknowledgment and signature of program guidelines
Perform machine changeovers as required.
Monitor tool life on CNC controller and change tools at prescribed frequency.
Verify tool changes with the CMM.
Complete tool change logs at CNC machine(s) with all required information.
Perform inspection of parts at required frequencies. Ensure first piece inspection parts are taken to CMM and monitor CMM results regularly throughout the shift. When necessary, take appropriate action based on CMM results.
Review previous shift log sheets and CMM reports to determine state of operation.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
Complete all tool changes before shift is completed
CNC and Broaches repair
Operate CMM machine
Open communication to the entire team
Preferred Skills:
Ability to read micrometers, verniers, and dial indicators.
Ability to read blueprint/ part print.
Effective communications skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Basic math skills.
Able to read and react to CMM Reports-Offsets
Tool setting ability
Previous experience with use and care of end mills, drills, and cutting tools.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Ability to use measuring tool precision gages and CMM.
Prior experience with Indramat controls.
Educational requirements:
HS Diploma or GED
CNC certification preferedWork Conditions:
100% of time spent on manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels requiring hearing protection, also requires safety glasses and steel toed shoes
Occasional weekend work
Physical Demands
Must be able to move around the production floor 100% of the time
The person in this position needs to also be able to stand for extended periods of time
Operates production equipment requiring hand/eye coordination and the ability to see PLC screens
Handles brake parts, weighing up to 30 pounds short distances.
