Quality Management SpecialistKey Role:Work with a federal health client to provide technical and scientific support for quality management systems and technical expertise by working with a Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) client's quality assurance (QA) and laboratory SMEs to support and implement quality initiatives. Maintain responsibility for the promotion of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization by coordinating activities across the quality assurance teams while assisting with implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality system. Ensure quality systems procedures for equipment maintenance and calibration.Basic Qualifications:-5+ years of experience with working in an accredited laboratory-Experience with implementation of a quality system to ensure accredited regulatory compliance-Experience with developing and managing IT solutions-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA or BS degree requiredAdditional Qualifications:-Experience with laboratory project management in a laboratory environment-Experience with laboratory testing, including molecular assays-Experience with lab quality systems, including CLIA, CAP, ISO, GLP, or QSR-Experience with writing SOPs and other laboratory documents-Experience with basic laboratory techniques-Experience with collecting and analyzing data-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint-Experience with developing database systems-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously-Ability to be a self-starter and function independently-Ability to work well in a team environment-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-BA or BS degree in Biological Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomolecular Engineering, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus-Lean Six Sigma CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.We are proud of our diverse environment.
