DescriptionReporting to the Senior Director and EO/AA Compliance Officer, analyzes, evaluates and investigates complaints filed under the University's Equal Opportunity and Discriminatory Harassment Policy. In coordination with department leadership, supports the mission and goals of the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI). Develops an investigative plan to include deciding the issues to be investigated, who should be interviewed, the questions to be asked, and what documents should be reviewed. Integrates and analyzes information gathered during an investigation to prepare an objective report, ensuring all accepted issues are addressed, scope and depth of investigation are sufficient, and facts are adequately substantiated. Makes appropriate recommendations and takes necessary action to bring complaints to a reasonable and timely resolution. Collaborates with leadership and department supervisors at the conclusion of the EO/AA complaint investigation to provide customized intervention strategies. Provides one-on-one coaching to University leadership to increase leadership effectiveness in addressing discriminatory harassment prevention. Consults with University leadership regarding EEO application in organizational operation. In collaboration with departmental leadership, monitors changes in governmental laws and regulations and assists with updates of EEO policy, practice and procedures. In collaboration with the Senior Director, ensures effective, efficient and coordinated oversight for all aspects of EEO investigations to include assisting OEI leadership with management of contracted investigator. Designs, develops and implements EEO training programs with the goal of increasing cultural knowledge, awareness and skills that promote and advance inclusion as a core institutional value. Conducts training across campus ensuring that training modules are relevant and designs new training modules, as needed. Provides constructive feedback to training participants. Creates and maintains training records and reports along with measurable goals and objectives. Conducts regular audits and surveys to determine effectiveness of training. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Mastes degree and three years of program related experience, including work in employment law, EO/AA, Title VII and Title IX investigations, and developing and/or implementing training programs or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

A JD is preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Higher education experience preferred. Ability to handle sensitive organizational issues with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
