OverviewThe Contracts Attorney position is a full-time position in the Corporate Legal Department designed to help lead the rapidly growing contracts area for Chick-fil-A, Inc. This position will initially lead strategy for vendor engagements and relations in Talent, Operations, and Market Level Marketing and serve as primary counsel for non-profits.Responsibilities

Work with and advise Chick-fil-A business teams on a wide variety of contract matters.

Develop on-going strategies, processes and forms for the contracts area.

Contribute to developing on-going contracts strategies and processes for contracts team and communicate such strategies and processes to Chick-fil-A business teams and outside legal counsel.

Work with, manage and develop outside legal counsel.

Draft and negotiate documents and contracts related to Chick-fil-A’s business.

Manage a significant budget related to the contracts area.

Attend outside seminars and other business-related events and pursue other personal development related to contracts role and Chick-fil-A business.

Participate in planning, budgeting and strategy for the Corporate Legal Department.

Support Chick-fil-A-affiliated businesses in the contracts area.

Spot legal and business issues in proposed business solutions and communicate them clearly to the business client while aiding in the client’s analysis.

Collaborate with colleagues and other subject matter experts on various legal department matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in drafting and negotiating legal agreements.

Large law firm and/or in-house corporate experience preferred.

4-year college degree.

Law degree from accredited law school.

Demonstrated academic success in law school (top 25% of class).

Member of Georgia Bar (or willingness to obtain membership in Georgia bar)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience regarding sponsorship agreements and non-profit work.

Strong negotiation skills.

Ability to identify and set, and execute on, priorities.

Strong organizational skills.

High level of initiative and desire to work with an in-house legal department.

Ability to lead a team.

Drive to innovate and improve contract strategies and processes and the Chick-fil-A business.

Comfortable collaborating and building relationships with colleagues, outside legal counsel, and cross-functionally with the Chick-fil-A business.

Confidence to offer independent, thoughtful and respectful input and feedbac

Strong verbal and written communication skills and judgment.
