DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Positionoverview: Assisting Human Resources Team with hiring of hourly employees,benefits, disability, and time management. Working in a Plant settingperforming new hire orientation, attendance audits, pulling information, andcreating reports in excel.· Provide assistance and support to the HR Department· Administers disability programs· Recruits for hourly and salary positions within the plant· Plan and conduct new employee orientation· New hire processing of pre-employment screening and records· Prepares and maintains reports to include headcount, attendancereports, and employee lists· Coordinate employee events· Prepare counseling forms for attendance· Oversee hourly and salary performance appraisal system· Prepare data for budget of human resources operations· Administer shoe and safety glass program· Assist in preparation for monthly Value Stream meetings· Prepares separation notices and related documentation and conductsexit interviews to determine reasons behind separations· May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager· Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent aviolation of the Tenneco Integrity Policy· All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply withthe legal and other requirements and operational controls established, worktoward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to proceduresconsistent with the ISO 14001 standard· An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activitythat does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself· Capable of providing support as requested by supervisorREQUIREMENTS:Education:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience in a Humanresources roleExperience:· 1-2 years Manufacturing environment experience (working withhourly employees on a shop floor)· Hiring of hourly employees· Ability to work within multiple excel spreadsheets· Experience with newhire orientation, benefits, and short term disability· ADP/Kronos/SAP preferred· PHR/SPHR certification preferredEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
