Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk
Sea Oaks Property Owners Association is a gated community with a beach and tennis club. We are seeking an energetic, self-starter accounting professional to work in our six-person accounting department. This is a full-time position that includes health insurance, 401k and personal / vacation time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
o All aspects of accounts payable for the Association.
Owner / Membership
o Membership updates for new owners
o Preparing pro-rated billing adjustments and reconciling quarterly assessments billed.
Accounts Receivable
o Review and post administrative point of sale adjustments.
o Post member payments
o Reconcile aging to general ledger
General Ledger
o Monthly posting of insurance expenses and reconciliation of prepaid insurance.
o Prepare monthly reconciliation of the reserve and capital funds accounts.
o Prepare monthly food and beverage utilization schedules.
o Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
o Review general ledger account detail each month and prepare any necessary correcting entries.
o Prepare and post month end journal entries
o Assist in annual budget process and annual external audit
Fixed Assets
o Maintain fixed asset requisition requests with copies of vendor invoice
o Update fixed asset software for assets purchased and disposed.
Job requirements and qualifications:
Experience with accounting software; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel; previous experience in accounting prefer a bachelors degree in accounting; attention to detail; strong analytical and numerical skills; ability to prioritize; ability to get along with others.
