Complies with the Employee Code of Conduct
Demonstrates compliance with all federal, state and local laws; rules and government regulations
Verbalizes understanding of reporting process of any actual or perceived violation
Recognizes incidents as defined and described in the Hospital’s Institutional Policies and Procedures
Understands the method and reasoning for reporting incidents
Demonstrates ability to complete the Hospital’s Incident Report Form
Assists the Department Manager or others in recognizing and reducing risk within the Department or other areas of the Hospital
Demonstrates FHT PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Daily Endeavors) by providing courteous service, assisting lost guests, and problem solving to meet special needs or requests
Performs duties in a timely manner and provides updates if delays occur
Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external customers, in person or on the telephone
Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments
Maintains a professional appearance and manner and adheres to the FHT dress standards
Helps ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Respects patient privacy, confidentiality and dignity

Performs proper handwashing techniques according to departmental standards
Utilizes gloves according to departmental standards
Uses hair restraints according to departmental standards
Prepares gelatin for patient meals as assigned
Prepares late tray items after trayline is finished
Completes late trays as received from diet office and delivers to floors in a timely manner
After dinner line, accurately checks, prepares and delivers evening nourishments
Bags silverware and ensures utensils are clean and dry
Covers trays using correct tray liner
Bags bread products using bag sealer
Stocks and restocks serving station, condiments, special items, nourishment, paper goods and perishable items
Gathers appropriate serving utensils according to standards
Accurately places designated items on patient trays during meal service
Responsible for knowing menu items and portion sizes for each meal
Responsible for using appropriate sanitary methods during meal service
Scraps dishes from patient service area
Cleans and sanitizes patient food carts
Cleans and sanitizes station after each meal
Cleans equipment, tables, racks as scheduled
Reports any items needing repairs to supervisor
QualificationsWhat You Will Need:
Physical ability to perform designated job
Minimum six (6) months direct food service experience or minimum three (3) months related food service experience
High School Diploma preferred
