Heinz Nurseries is one of Tallahassee's premier retail nurseries. In addition, we specialize in landscaping, lawn maintenance, irrigation systems, and hardscaping. We offer excellent service to our customers because we have outstanding employees. We are looking for a full-time and part-time bookkeeper/office assistant who can offer the same level of expertise, professionalism, and dependability in our very busy office.
You must be very detail-oriented and dedicated to helping the company grow. If you thrive on multi-tasking, work well with other employees, and have great communication skills, this may be the job for you! The position requires knowledge of QuickBooks (or equivalent accounting software), Excel and MS Word. Answering phones, taking orders, and problem-solving skills while staying organized are all a must!
Responsibilities:
Assist AR and AP
Communicate with customers and vendors via phone and email
Learn detailed office procedures of different departments
Maintain an orderly filing system
Perform other general office tasks as directed by management
Position Qualifications:
Honesty and integrity
Possess good phone skills
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software a plus
Have at least two years bookkeeping experience
Reliable, organized and personable
Proficient with a 10 key calculator
Ability to work closely with others
Some college or post-secondary training preferred
Background check required
