A Meat Cutter’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
Cutting and preparing all meat sold at Chop Shop
Cutting and preparing some prepared foods
Packages some prepared foods
Follows and fulfills daily production prep lists
Assists Lead Meat Cutter in ordering, maintaining and receiving inventory
Obtaining additional skills to increase proficiency
Dynamically selling product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
Helping to verify and unload meat deliveries from trucks that meet Chop Shop standards of food safety
Maintaining, filling and rotating product in meat and produce cases
Moving meat from coolers to cutting area and returning meat to coolers
Maintaining Chop Shop’s high standards for product guidelines in sanitation, freshness, trim and cutting
Cleaning equipment and all area surrounding
Assisting in other duties as assigned by Lead Butcher
