Job Description
Aerospace CNC Operator / Setup Machinist
Job Responsibilities:
Must demonstrate a good command of print reading, a working knowledge of GD&T, attention to complex work instructions and setup sheets, and the ability to follow documentation of processes.
Setup and operation of multiple CNC machines, including 3- and 5-axis VMCs, as needed. Knowledge of modern Mazak and Fanuc controls a plus.
Knowledge of tooling, tool setting and offsetting, setting work offsets, and basic inspection a must. Knowledge of Renishaw toolsetters and spindle probes a plus.
Maintain a demanding level of quality working on Aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and/or plastic.
Good communication skills are a must. This position requires working with other team members in up- and down-stream operations, programming, quality control, and engineering.
Ability to read and write basic g-code to make edits to tool numbers, tool offsets, work offsets, spindle speed, and feed rates as necessary.
Must be capable to perform minor machine maintenance, clean machines and work areas as needed during production run time, stand all day, and lift up to 50lbs.
Requirements:
2+ years of CNC mill setup experience. 5-axis setup experience a plus.
Multiple positions open currently, seeking to place day and night shift.
Compensation will be based on ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge and ability to perform set up and operation of various machining centers.
