Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer to join our Missles and Fire Control team at site in Orlando, Florida.To be considered for this role you must currently hold a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.You will perform simulation and modeling of missile 6DOF Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) in a team environment. This effort includes:- Maturation of GNC algorithms;- Implementation of Guidance, Navigation, and Autopilot on-board algorithms in the IFS;- Modeling of physical "truth" models and implementation in IFS and maintain IFS;- Contribute to IFS architecture development;- Perform system performance assessments and trade studies using IFS;- Support navigation test bed.Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.The Locale: Orlando is a great place to live and to raise a family. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.Basic Qualifications:You must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) assignments:Perform Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) design and simulation analysis.Develop and analyze guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms.Design target tracking systems which generally include target state estimation and target/detection association.Demonstrate experience with optimal state estimation filters such as KALMAN and Extended KALMAN filter (EKF).Perform design and analyses of terrestrial navigation and navigation state error estimation.Contribute to the definition of an operational flight program (OFP) with integrated high fidelity 6DOF simulations.Support preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses.Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformation.Demonstrate mastery of MATLAB and C/C programming.Currently holds a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.Desired Skills:Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation experience.Flight software integration and verification experience.Experience with Embedded Software and RF/EO knowledge.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
