I am looking for a driver to run the south eastern area hauling roll stock paper in my backup truck leased on with a company called Gray Rock. You will start out typically on a Sunday moving freight through mainly the Carolinas. You won't go west of Tennessee and north of North Carolina. In rare occasions you will do Virginia. And 90% of the time you will be on your way back home by Thursday. NO WEEKEND WORK. Roll stock is typically first come first serve at shippers and receivers with quick loading/unloading times. In some cases you will have to wait longer. Throughout the week you will be dispatched with 30% drop and hooks the rest will be live. This company mile scale runs roughly 1500 to 1800 miles a week a little over 400 miles a day. You will be required to obey all DOT laws regarding an electronic log. No paper logs. 5 day work weeks with all weekends back in your own bed.
Requirements:
1. Little to No violations and points on MVR.
2. Must have two verifiable years of over the road experience.
3. No criminal history within the last 5 years. (They will conduct a very serious background check).
4. Must be willing to communicate daily.
5. Must check oil and all other fluids and perform a pre trip inspection before and after driving.
6. Must be able to shift a 10 speed manual transmission.
If you don't meet these requirements please don't waste your time you will not make it past the application process.
Pay: Roll stock freight does not pay the best, So hope's to get rich or make $1000 dollars a week is highly UNLIKELY. If the truck NETS anything under 1500 for the week I can guarantee at least $600. If the truck NETS anything over 1500 that week I will pay you 45% of take home for that truck. A company driver for this company roughly brings home anywhere from 500 to 600 a week. Because this company will only pay .45 cents per mile I would like to do a little better than that. Easy work Monday through Friday sometimes Sunday night,
