JOB SUMMARY:

Sporting goods manufacturer is looking for an individual with great hand or artistic skills. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has hand skills and prefers to work in an office environment with 7 other assemblers and no retail customers.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Our Gainesville office is located in an air-conditioned professional office building located in NW Gainesville. Assemblers also have the opportunity to relocate to our second manufacturing facility outside of Brickell, Miami, if desired.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an assembler it will be necessary to use small hand tools to assemble small plastic products.

COMPENSATION:

Starts at $12/hr for first 30 days, $14/hr after 30 days with opportunity for overtime, bonuses and raises. Hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM M-F.

This is a long-term, full-time position, we do not offer benefits.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

Artist, artistic, or excellent hand coordination.

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions

Utilize small hand tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.

High energy and self-driven individual. Excellent people skills and demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees toward higher efficiency and skill level.

Ability to trouble shoot technical/administrative production related problems.

Regularly required to sit or stand for long periods. Regularly required to perform physical work with hands during entire shift. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

PRODUCTION EXECUTION & CONTROL:

Perform production duties such as gluing and using small hand tools.

Ensure all production parts are adequate before sign off

Maintain the production pace as required by management

Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the office manager.

Perform related duties as required by office manager.

· Ensure compliance with Safety Policies and Practices

· Ensure compliance with Security Policies

· Notify the Office Manager of quality concerns

· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

· Work cooperatively with other team members on continuous improvement efforts
