We are looking for a Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given attentive, friendly, and courteous service at all times; address needs, comments and complaints.

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.

Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive and productive working environment.

Creating staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing

Process payroll and maintain all relevant records

Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.

Continuously strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.

Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs.

Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary

Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.

Assist in developing, planning and executing restaurant marketing, advertising, promotional activities and campaigns.

Hire, train, supervise and retain qualified restaurant employees

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality preferred

2-3 years of food and beverage service industry experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English); Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)

Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card

Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent leaderships skills

Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets

Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed

Extremely organized and detail-oriented

Possess excellent basic math and Windows Office skills and can operate a POS system. Previous experience with Restaurant Manager POS and HotSchedules is a plus.

Training and development of team members to meet and exceed service expectations

Working Conditions

Often work indoors, but may rarely work outdoors.

Often work nights and weekends, when restaurants are busiest/Holidays.

Have a high level of social contact.

Often work unpredictable hours, to fill in for absent workers.

Often work 55 to 60 hours or more per week, 11-12 hours shifts per day.

Are responsible for the work of servers and food prep.
