Hey: you've found us!Participation in the NextEra Energy-Nuclear Business Unit Summer Internship program offers a unique opportunity for practical hands-on experience with an active Nuclear specific project as well as participation in corporate and business unit specific events where you will gain unprecedented access to interact with senior leadership from across the company.This position will be located at our Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. In this role you can expect to:Collaborate in exciting group projects designed to provide valuable lasting impact to the siteInterface with plant personnel (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Work Management) in support of project activities.Apply standard engineering practices to enhance plant processes at our 100% carbon-free energy nuclear plantParticipate in the analysis and evaluation of issues associated with plant configuration and equipment reliability.Employ critical problem solving skills to work through engineering topics bringing sustainability to the Turkey Point Clean Energy Center thrive for years to come.Sophomore or Junior class standing studying Electrical, I&C or Mechanical preferred.

You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Assists department with assigned projects

Completes challenging projects and assignments

Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship

Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High school grad / GED

Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program

Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
