Zev Cohen & Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a Utility Engineer with 5+ years of experience for our Ormond Beach, FL office working in our team oriented environment, providing our private and public clients with professional engineering services on a variety of challenging projects.
The focus of this position is providing professional engineering services for land development, utility and stormwater design projects. The employee will be responsible for the design and management of projects by applying engineering experience and knowledge to meet the client's needs and the jurisdictional agency requirements. Primary responsibilities include project management, coordination with the Client, directing the project team, reviewing the project budget and progress, design, permitting and coordinating construction administration services. The various projects include utility and stormwater design for sports facilities, commercial centers, residential development, roadways, municipal projects, parks and other land development improvements.
Candidates for this position must have a minimum of five years of experience performing stormwater and/or utility management engineering, site design and related civil engineering tasks in Florida. The candidate should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a P.E. registration for the State of Florida is preferred. The candidate should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to work in a team environment are also required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility design and permitting with the State of Florida agencies.
