Description: Seeking an electrical engineer to support the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) program on Patrick Air Force Base, FL. The selected candidate will conduct site surveys, electrical component/system testing, transmission line testing (including fiber), system installation, and system support. The individual will research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use of network hardware required to support the operations and maintenance of the Eastern Range Air Force communications systems and networks. Responsibilities will include:· Fabricate, test, troubleshoot/repair various types of cable assemblies, including but not limited to: coax, multi-conductor/-paired cables, and network cables.· Reference and comprehend equipment manuals, product specification sheets, blueprints, drawings, and engineering sketches to complete range deployment tasks· Correctly operate test equipment, connector crimpers, die inserts, stripping tools, power tools, and other common hand tools and shop equipment.· Participate in cross-functional customer facing integrated product teams (IPTs) and/or agile scrums.· Support Program Manager in estimating, reporting, and planning hardware deployment tasks.· Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety, security, and timekeeping.You will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for an elevated clearance and access to classified information.Basic Qualifications:Experience with electronic equipment fabrication & assembly, cable fabrication, equipment installation, and wiring termination/harnessing experience.· Demonstrated ability to quickly establish proficiency on new electrical products/product lines.· Must have a current Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI w/PolyDesired Skills:Experience on a DoD system development program (Eastern Range experience a plus)· Experience with network hardware installation, configuration, and testing.· Experience interfacing with a project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)· Experience with research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.· Experience with relevant industry software products like MS Office, MS Project, MS Sharepoint, etc.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
