This role is a driver position and involves delivering packages to homes and local businesses with safety, customer service, efficiency and honesty as the focus. You will be on assigned routes and deliver packages on that route.
Key job description
Be able to safely drive a truck or cargo van and deliver packages on a route to customer locations and businesses .
Have ability to deliver packages as required without errors or mistakes .
Have attention to detail and be able to distinguish between similar sounding street names in order to avoid package misdeliveries to wrong address .
Be dependable and have a strong work ethic .
Have excellent customer service
Be honest , punctual , organized , efficient and excellent at managing time .
Have a safety focus and able to do a pre and post inspection check of vehicle to make sure it’s in safe condition.
Respond quickly to customer complaints when mistakes or errors are made.
Requirements
Able to pass a background check , road test and drug test (If driver can't pass a drug test then no need to apply)
Driver is at least 21 years of age.
Driver has at least 1-2 years employment history
Driver has phone or email contact information included in resume
Driver has at least 1 year minimum driving experience in cargo van or larger within past 2 years (Uber or Lyft OK), if driver has less than 1 year experience then new Driver will need to complete Driver training course and pass test .
Driver must successfully Pass Medical Exam (physical ) to obtain DOT card
Driver must not have a record of driving a vehicle on suspended or revoked license
Driver has not committed 2 or more moving violations in the past 12 months
No Felonies.
