D.C. attorney seeking executive assistant to handle daily tasks, schedule, client intake, and correspondence. This is a salary, full-time position and those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

A. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, independent, and have the ability to self-start and take initiative. Your supervising attorney will provide you with guidance and explain the "how to" portion of the job, but you must be able to figure out matters without hand-holding.
Specifically, the ideal candidate will attend to the following tasks:
Conduct client intake
Draft letters of representation
Request medical records & bills
File insurance claims
Maintain and organize your supervising attorneys calendar
Manage/organize client files in our case management software
Provide bi-weekly case status updates to clients
Answer/screen potential client phone calls
Draft preliminary documents, pleadings, motions & complaints
Review medical records
Other tasks as necessary
Also, the following attributes are desired:
Friendly, polite, and positive attitude
Self-sufficient and able to take initiative as a self-starter
Excellent writing skills (letters, email, legal documents)
Excellent interpersonal skills (communicating with lawyers, client, etc.)
Understanding of medical terminology
Timely, reliable, and flexible
A go-getter attitude (i.e. not someone who waits until tomorrow)
Persistent and driven, able to repeatedly follow-up on tasks until completed
Tech savvy (MUST know how to use Mac/Apple products)
Highly-proficient in Word, Adobe, Excel, and other computer programs
EXTREMELY Organized (attention to detail is absolutely critical)
A team player (willing and able to work with multiple people)
