Summary
DIRT is a counter casual restaurant opening in Ballston in late March / early April. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, motivated, and responsible baristas to prepare excellent coffee, tea, smoothies, and smoothie bowls for our guests in a fast-paced work environment.

The Opportunity
As a member of the DIRT team, you will be an ambassador of our core values by helping to creative a positive, inclusive environment for other employees and our guests. You will be responsible for crafting personalized, high-quality food / beverages and experiences for our guests. We are looking for true team players who are willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep DIRT running smoothly and ensure that guests are satisfied.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Preparing excellent coffee, tea, smoothies, and smoothie bowls
Preparing grab-and-go snacks accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion
Maintaining appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring prep levels
Following recipes accurately and maintaining consistent food preparation processes
Maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing food
Cleaning and sanitizing your workstation
You will report to the Management Team. However, we will train and empower you to make your own decisions that create the best overall experience for our guests and strengthen your own skill set.

Experience & Education
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a barista preparing similar beverages, preferably at a premium coffee shop
Knowledge of food values and nutrition
ServSafe Food Handler's Certificate
At least a high school diploma
Physical Abilities
Regularly lifting food trays / items weighing up to 50 pounds
Bending, kneeling, and stooping
Standing for long periods of time
Working in a hot environment
