The Barista is the master craftsperson at Commonwealth Joe Coffee Roasters. Blending art and science, the Barista meticulously prepares high-quality coffee with friendly professionalism. The Barista provides exceptional customer service, has a strong work ethic, and is a true team player. In addition to crafting high quality coffee beverages and providing excellent customer service, the Barista assists with other coffee shop responsibilities as needed.

About You
You are outgoing and engaging, highly professional, willing to learn, give strong attention to detail, and are intellectually curious.
You feel drawn toward a career in craft coffee.
You are interested in becoming a coffee quality expert, learning everything from how to pull an excellent espresso shot to crafting manual pour-overs.
You are excited about joining an enthusiastic and friendly team of passionate coffee lovers.
Essential Functions
Maintain a positive presence as the first face customers see at Commonwealth Joe Coffee Roasters and provide excellent customer service through the coffee-making process.
Complete and retain company provided training in the art of coffee making.
Perform cleaning and organizing tasks with a strong attention to detail.
Embody the values and integrity, in line with the Commonwealth Joe Coffee Roasters brand, to create a positive company culture.
Timeline & Location
Primary work location is in Arlington, VA at both Commonwealth Joe (in Pentagon City) & The Java Shack (in Clarendon)
Both locations are metro accessible!
