An award-winning educational organization based in the DC Metro Area is seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager with expertise working within highly agile environments, to support a range of concurrent projects spanning Product Development, Enterprise Applications and IT Operations. This is a high growth opportunity that will fall within the company's newly formed PMO and will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the IT team, senior leadership, and third-party vendors to plan, coordinate, execute and support a number of enterprise technology projects and initiatives.
- Estimate level of effort, lead daily standups, track progress, keep the sprint backlog up-to-date, and help to remove impediments.
- Utilize excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Direct the work of the project team, including other project managers; Identify and deploy resources required for projects.
- Translate technical requirements to high-level project goals; Functions as escalation to project teams to resolve issues.
- At least five (5+) years of experience in managing enterprise IT projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Project Management Certification and/or Scrum Master Certification preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment, facilitating release planning and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities with multiple internal & external customers.
- Possess strong communication skills, work ethic, and customer service mentality.
- Working knowledge of Jira or similar project management software.
