Fast-paced leading Global Technology Company supporting Capitol Hill looking for

PC

Move Technicians to join our team during the upcoming Congressional transition. In the months leading up to and immediately following the November national elections, our company sees a surge of activity in preparation for Congressional Members retiring as well as new Congressional Members starting their service and learning our product.

Job Description

Performs set up and take down on a variety of systems and hardware components, including packing and moving of computer equipment and peripherals. This includes disconnecting all network equipment, labeling equipment based on customer defined specs, compiling equipment counts, and reconnecting equipment in new office locations. Assists with the installation of new PCs or printers in Congressional offices on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Must be comfortable with loading Windows OS and configuring network settings for workstations. May assist with computer imaging follow detailed instructions.

Additional Information:
  • Location: Office will be located within a federal government building in South West Washington, D.C. (accessible from the Blue, Orange, and Silver Metro-Rail Stations).
  • Salary: Dependent upon experience

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • Detail oriented and able to precisely follow documented procedures
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Evenings, weekends, and holiday work will/could be required through holiday season before and after November Federal Elections every other year
  • Able to walk significant distances throughout the work day (uphill and stairs)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Self-starter who can work unsupervised for short periods of time and has a proactive mindset
  • Reliable transportation and able to arrive for scheduled shift on time without fail

Desired qualifications:

  • Recent college or trade school graduate with a field of study in Information Technology/Computer Support
  • Basic familiarity with IT hardware

Schedule and place of performance:
  • Period of performance is November 9, 2020 through January 2, 2021
    • Possibility to extend through March 2021
  • 100 % in-office work
  • Work schedule will be dynamic, hours may fluctuate significantly from one day to the next. Overtime will be available and required. On average most weeks will be in excess of 40 hours but there may be fluctuations (example 30 hours one week and 60 hours the next).
  • Schedule flexibility is required to provide coverage for events scheduled and assigned with little advance notice. There will be weekend and holiday work to accommodate customer demand and schedule. These are all first shift positions that may start early, run late, and require weekend daytime work.
  • Subcontractor is expected to report to our office in Washington, DC
