Position : QA TesterLocation : Washington, DCPosition: QA TesterLocation: Washington, DCSummary : Be a team member that supports a DOL contract. The candidate will assess software quality through manual and automated testing of Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) and Government of the Shelf (GOTS). You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. Ensure that our products, applications and systems work and function correctly.Responsibilities:
Review and analyze system specifications
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Evaluate product code according to specifications
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Help troubleshoot issues; Report and document technical issues
Install complex software in multiple operating environments
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements:
Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Experience in project management and QA methodology is a plus
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
Education/Experience:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (experience can be replaced for degree)
