Position : Help Desk Technician IILocation : Washington, DCPosition: Desktop Support TechnicianLocation: Washington, DCSummary: ASRC Federal InuTeq is looking for a new member for our development team that supports the Energy Compensation System (ECS) for the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) at the US Department of Labor (DOL). The position is on site at the DOL facility at 3rd and Constitution in Washington DC and is conveniently located near the Judiciary Square Metro station.Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Sr. Manager IT End User Services to ensure proper application of diagnostics for employees.

Respond to ServiceDesk service requests and work requests in a timely manner with excellent customer handling skills.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software related problems with laptop computers, desktop computers, PDA's, printers, scanners and other PC based peripherals.

Repair, upgrade, build, rebuild and maintain laptops and PC's and other IT related equipment.

Other duties include maintenance, upgrade, installation and configuration of the equipment outlined above.

Requirements:

Experience with upgrading and troubleshooting workstations.

Proven experience in PC build, repair, configuration and overall desktop support to users.

Must be able to interface courteously and effectively with internal customers and users a must.

US Citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.

Education/Experience:

Associates degree or higher in related field desired.

2-4 years desktop support experience in an MS Windows and networking environment.

A + certification desired.
