Under the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract, our 110-member team delivers the full breadth of IT services, including infrastructure engineering and operations, software development and maintenance, cyber security, enterprise architecture support, and document processing.We have an immediate opening for an Application Systems Analyst I who will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of a public facing legacy application which is a database of documents using SQL and FileNet. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative Application Systems Analyst I with working knowledge in data quality, who can bring new ideas to the table while leveraging experience from a diverse set of seasoned professionals. The is a full-time position located in Washington, DCSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:

Create, execute, and test complex SQL queries and scripts to back and front end databases from testing all the way through production environments.

Provide tier 3 assistance on custom applications

Prepare ad hoc and easy-to-read reports and present information to various audiences.

Assist with customer support queries, such as data integrity and validation questions

Monitor reporting performance, job queues and data quality proactively.

Develop reports and dashboards with extensive graphical display of data

Perform Ad hoc analysis of data for internal review & external clients

Support internal and public facing web applications and third party reporting platform

Troubleshoot and diagnose failures and determine best course of action

Provide internal customer service, must be able to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Work effectively with the client management team to identify, estimate, prioritize, and resolve issues

Perform research and analysis on existing software in the environment in order to ensure application versions are up to date

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 1-3 years experience in a Application Support or HelpDesk support Role. Experience can be substituted for education.Technical Expertise Must Have:

Must have a good understanding of data relationships and a strong command of SQL syntax

Analysis and design skills, critical thinking, and analytical problem solving

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MS Office suite, MS Visio and other productivity tools

Strong understanding of Operational best practices

Strong verbal and written communication skills as appropriate for analysis, issue clarification and assistance.

Nice to Have:

Visual FoxPro, MS Access, .Net experience is desired but not required

Proficient with Oracle SQL Plus, Toad, and content management systems such as FileNet imaging services
