Job Description

Areas of responsibility:

Operate and maintain semi-automated production equipment in a clean room environment. Perform line clearances, cleaning/sanitation and preparing equipment for operation. Weigh, measure and check raw materials to assure proper ingredients and quantities. Read and follow SOPs and maintain cGMP and ISO standards. Performs quality control checks. Communicates status of operations. Simultaneous operation of one or more machines may be required. Documents production process utilizing electronic batch records. Supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic qualifications:

2 to 3+ years manufacturing experience. High school Diploma is REQUIRED. Must have the ability to read and follow strict SOPs and regulations. Candidates should be safety-minded, have disciplined workmanship. The candidate is a “hands-on” and energetic individual who enjoys challenges is a fast pace environment, and is dedicated to getting the job done. Must have the flexibility to work various shifts and be interested in learning new skills. Must show familiarity with basic computer software to include Microsoft Office. Ability to perform basic production troubleshooting, to collaborate with maintenance personnel on complex problems, and seek advice and guidance on non-routine problems from others. Must have good communication abilities, interpersonal skills, and a good work ethic. Team player committed to quality and working effectively with others with the ability to cross train, and work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in clean room or pharma-manufacturing operations, Experience working in an ISO 8 (Class 100,000) or cleaner manufacturing environment, Experience under a GMP quality system for production of medical device components, Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Conceptual, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, Be familiar with a variety of production equipment. SAP or equivalent manufacturing software experience is a plus.

Physical requirements:

Ability to perform duties gowned for long periods and maintain good personal hygiene, Ability to work in a high demand manufacturing setting. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
