Full time position available in busy Chadds Ford, PA auction house. The successful applicant will be a self-starting independent individual who will have experience in digital photography and editing, lighting, shot setups, and general sorting and organization of product in many categories including glass, porcelain, silver, jewelry, fine art, furniture, carpets, and other types of material. Computer skills are an essential skill set particularly photo editing, Excel, Word, and a generally high experience/comfort level with import/export of data to and from the Cloud. Day to day involvement in the auction preparation and catalog creation will be a considerable part of the responsibilities including day of sale clerking. Interaction with clients fulfilling requests for condition reports and additional photographs also required. Enthusiasm about art & antiques and willingness to broaden knowledge; prior knowledge of antiques/ fine arts not necessary but highly advantageous. Strong social media skills including working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn very useful, and candidate must be discreet, dependable, highly organized and reliable.
