Local vegetable farmer in Federalsburg, MD is seeking immediate field hand applicants to assist with everyday operations of a 40 acre vegetable farm. Duties will include but not limited to picking/packaging of various fruits and vegetables, planting, removal of plastic in fields, laying irrigation pipe and relocating pipe throughout year, field work (ie. Field hoeing or stringing tomatoes) and loading of trucks and trailers for assorted markets.
Qualified Applicants should be able to do the following:
1. Lift over 40lbs
2. Bend over for extended periods of time in the fields picking or pulling plastic
3. Be out in the summer heat and sun for extended periods of time
4. Work 8-10 hours per day possibly 6 days a week
